Even though I really need some chill time, I’m ok

Even though it’s summer and I need a break, ( but I’d better not use that word in case I get one! ) I’m ok

Even though I need a holiday, but that’ll be even harder work than staying at home I deeply and completely accept myself.

How do I get it?

How CAN I get it?

I have to sort everyone out first and that’s hard work

Even though I have to look after everyone else first, I’m ok

Even though I have to make sure that everything is right for everyone else before I even think what I want, I’m ok

Even though if I had time to think what I want, I wouldn’t even know, I deeply and completely accept myself.

How would I know?

I’ve never had time to think about me

I don’t know what I want

I know what everyone else wants.....I think

What if I’m wrong?

What if I’m assuming I know and I’m wrong

Where does that leave me?

It leaves me free to focus on me!

Even though I don’t think it’s ok to focus on me, I’m Ok

Even though I have to focus on them, I deeply and completely accept myself.

Even though I’ve never given myself time and space to think or even guess what I might want, maybe now’s the time to do that

I have my guidance system and I can use it

And I will

Doing what works for me,

Even though I put them first, maybe I don’t need to do that

Even though I’ve always done that maybe it’s time to put on my own oxygen mask, before assisting others.

Even though that’s what I’ve always done, maybe it’s more use to everyone if I focus on me first, if I listen to my body, do what makes me feel good, even if that’s doing nothing at all, maybe it’s actually ok!
